Frequently Asked Questions
Dress code
Proper attire is vital to maintaining a high degree of professionalism and the atmosphere of our conference. During the conference, HMC staff will enforce the dress code for delegates. All students should dress in a professional manner. This generally means that female-identifying students should wear a suit, dress, dress slacks, or skirt with a blouse or sweater and male-identifying students should wear a suit or a jacket and dress pants, with a dress shirt and tie. As an inclusive organization, HMC encourages each delegate to dress in the formal attire that best reflects a delegate's gender identity and cultural background. Students who do not obey the dress code will be required to change their attire. Jeans, flip-flops, T-shirts, and baseball caps are unacceptable.
a Techless conference
Throughout its history, HMC has remained a tech-free conference. This allows us to level the playing field and provide a unique educational experience with minimal distractions and high engagement.
Prior to the conference, we encourage you to print out briefings and notes that you want to use during the conference.
If I have an issue during the conference, who should i contact?
Our faculty liaison, Andrew Zonneveld, will be available in the Faculty Lounge and via email throughout the conference. However, we have an entire Executive Board and Staff to assist with whatever specific needs arise throughout the weekend! Please feel free to speak to Andrew and/or your delegates’ chairs to get in contact with the appropriate board member to assist you.
