Role allocation will be conducted first for Special Programs and then for Senate and House.
- Create an account on our website
- Register online indicating total number of roles desired
- Receive number of assigned roles by email
- Have students prepare their Special Programs applications
- Have students apply for Special Programs (if applicable)
- Receive results of Special Programs applications
- Register online for House and Senate
- Mail deposit to HMC
- Investigate travel arrangements
- Begin fundraising. HMC will distribute a “Guide to Fundraising” to support these efforts
November 2011
- Receive student roles by program
- Notify HMC of any dropped roles to receive deposit refund
- Complete Worksheet A3
- Submit student role assignments (A3) online
- Receive Briefing Book on the website before the end of November
- Continue making travel arrangements
- Assist students with issue research
- Make copies of Student Codes of Conduct and distribute to students to have signed
- Mail remaining fees to HMC
December 2011
- Mail Codes of Conduct forms and Principal’s Agreement to HMC
- Secure hotel reservations
- Finalize travel arrangements
- Guide students in completing student pre-conference assignments
- Help familiarize students with parliamentary procedure
- Encourage students to contact member of Congress they are portraying
January 2012
- Remind students to be working on pre-conference assignments
- Help students prepare for public speaking
- Changes to role assignments within two weeks of the conference are subject to fees**
- Re-familiarize students with HMC and school guidelines
- Submit pre-conference assignments online
