National Economic Council

Dear Delegates,

I hope you find yourselves as excited as I am to have you as a part of the National Economic Council during this exciting time of financial fickleness and general uncertainty.  This year, the Council will discuss how to revitalize our economic growth while keeping costs manageable.  As part of this committee, your job will be to develop economic policies to stimulate the economy while simultaneously protecting America’s geopolitical interests.  We know your preparation will leave you well-suited for the task, and we look forward to hearing your fruitful discussion in only a few months.  In case you have any questions for me as you prepare for the conference, it might be helpful to know a little bit about me first.

My name is Sanjay Misra, and I am a senior from Philadelphia, PA.  I am studying Applied Mathematics and Economics.  I have been involved with HMC since my sophomore year, during which I helped chair the first-ever National Economic Council at HMC Boston.  I have a true passion for analyzing economic policy within the public and private sectors with a particular interest in tax reform and wage efficiency.  In addition to HMC, I play club soccer, teach calculus, and serve as a representative of the Harvard Undergraduate Council.

I am pumped to return to the National Economic Council after an exciting year of GDP growth and healthcare reform.  All of the HMC staff members are anxiously awaiting your lively discussion and vigorous debates that will inevitably surface in Boston.  We look forward to meeting you soon!

All the best,

Sanjay Misra
