Welcome to the Natural Resources Committee! My name is Brianna, and I will be your chair for this year’s HMC conference. I’m looking forward to getting to know each of you in Boston – this will be my third year staffing the Natural Resources committee, and I know that it will be a blast!
I am originally from Bozeman, Montana and am currently a Junior Social Studies concentrator, focusing on Latin American studies. In addition to HMC, I play violin in the Harvard Pops Orchestra and do HACIA, a Spanish language conference held each spring in Latin America. Outside of school, I like spending time skiing, backpacking, and rock climbing. I also spend way too much time watching TV and Facebooking.
During the conference, we will address important concerns such as US mining laws and alternative energy on Native American reservations. Please be sure to read all briefings, summaries, and updates carefully, as they will prepare you to debate the issues at the conference. Also, remember to research your role assignments! If you have any questions, feel free to email me, and I’ll be more than happy to help out.
See you in Boston!
