Welcome to the House Foreign Affairs Committee! My name is Courtney Dagher, and I will be your committee chair this year. I am a junior at Harvard, and a proud inhabitant of Lowell House. I am a History and Literature concentrator, with a focus on modern Britain. I have been participating in HMC conferences since high school, and HMC 2012 will be my ninth conference overall! Beyond HMC Boston, I am also a member of the HMC Europe and Asia conferences. On campus, I am involved with her sorority Delta Gamma and the Story-Time Players, an acting group. My other interests include reading, traveling, and watching TV, especially my recent obsession, Modern Family.
I am excited to serve as the House Foreign Affairs Committee chair this year, and I hope you are all looking forward to HMC 2012! As members of the committee on Foreign Affairs, you will deal with issues including US-Cuban relations and the spread of malaria in Africa. The experience will help you hone your speaking, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
